SS16 Under The Sea Influence
Designers this season took us under the sea for SS16. Collections were embellished with sea shells, loose knit mesh, and shimmering sea sparkle. Collections displayed colour palettes that you would only find among the corals in the warm tropics; Vibrant corals and misty sea foam greens.
Our favourite pieces are from Pucci. Garments so light and airy, the fabrics almost look like they're floating when worn, as they would under water. Colours seem inspired by the life of a mermaid; grey blue, sand washed neutrals, and pastels - with glittering pearl-like, iridescent metallics.
Was the intention of these collections to make us want to jet off to Atlantis? It certainly feels like it... I think I can smell the ocean already...
