Six Planning Secrets To The Perfect Bachelorette

Party Planning Like A Pro

One of the great responsibilities that comes with being Maid of Honour is the task of planning the bachelorette party. If you’re a first-time MOH (or even if you’re not) this can seem like a difficult task, especially since you probably want it to be perfect. Check out our tips for planning a perfect bachelorette party and show the bride exactly why she gave you that coveted title in the first place.

Don’t leave it until the last minute.
Give yourself lots of time to plan and coordinate the party. From creating the guest list, planning an itinerary, and making reservations, it all takes time. Try and start planning 2 to 3 months before the party date to avoid stressful, last-minute, preparations.

Pick an appropriate date.
Find a time that works best for everyone invited. If the guests are coming from all over, it might not make sense to plan the bachelorette party too early before the wedding and request the out of town guests to fly in twice.

Decide what kind of bachelorette party it will be.
Will it be an intimate affair or a night of drinks and dancing? Whatever you choose, make sure it’s what the bride wants and that she’s comfortable. While you may be thinking men in leopard print bikinis, she may be thinking the spa.

Leave the bride guessing a little.
Keep in mind she’s already planning an event – her wedding! Including the bride in every detail of the bachelorette party can add a lot to her already full plate. While it’s good to incorporate the guest on honour and include her ideas, a few surprises can be fun. Try having a limo come to pick her up or surprise reservations at her favourite restaurant!

Don’t forget the budget.
Talk to the guests and find out what everyone is comfortable spending. Don’t book flights and hotels if half the guests can’t go. The bachelorette party is supposed to be fun for all and putting others in financial strain or excluding people because they can’t afford the costs doesn’t exactly create excitement.

Have fun!
Don’t stress too much trying to organize the perfect party, it doesn’t need to be planned to the very last detail. In fact, a little wiggle room in your itinerary is a good thing. Go with the flow of the night and remember you can’t force fun.
